Another finished piece for our Final Major Project (approaching dangerously fast) this time featuring American goddess Lana Del Rey! In this instance the illustration was done to be used in advertising and packaging (in order to fit in with our project) but the raw illustration is what you guys want! right?

Since the D&AD awards have been judged I guess its ok to put our entry up online. Sadly we didn’t get any recognition, but even I can see it’s not our greatest piece.
Loosely based on the scene where the protagonist studies an intricate cube he found. But I wont give anything away! Hope you enjoy!

This angry looking fella is Ninja from South African hip-hop/rave group Die Antwoord… Hopefully he will soon be one third of a triptych!

We searched a bit harder for our style on this piece, I think it’s starting to rear its gorgeous head!

FMP
Introducing our Final Major Project.
The idea behind the FMP will become clearer as we start to post more work, but for now here is the reveal of the name and logo for the fictional record company we have invented to base it all around.
We chose (MUTE) for a few reasons… Mainly because we liked the way it represented potential being limited, which is a major theme behind our FMP. We also like the juxtaposition behind how ironically loud the word is considering its meaning! Finally, being the Riddlers we are, we particularly enjoyed the slightly foreshadowing effect it has (since the label is entirely fictional, there isn’t going to actually be any music.)

Between working hard on our dissertations (which will finally be over and done with this Friday) and starting our Final Major Project, we managed to finally get a logo sorted! As of next week we’re promising ourselves to post here at least once a week! Hopefully more.

After messing about with some ideas for a website, we decided to just buy a URL and use tumblr as our site! Simple! (also, check the url RIGHT NOW =D Hell yeah!)
This means our tumblr will no doubt change a LOT this thursday! So look forward to that!
…oh yeah, that ‘big thing’ happening between the 1st and 5th? it’s been delayed to the 12th/13th! and it’s awesome! So stay tuned!
